Four Corners Master Plan

One of the most important issues to almost every citizen I speak to is redevelopment at the Four Corners, the interection of Josey and Valley View. Bringing renewed retail and restaurant options to Farmers Branch in this area is a top priority to this council, and one that we feel is vital to out city. If you haven't already reviewed the Four Corners Master Plan, you can do so here. Know that this council and the city staff are working hard to make the vision of a vibrant "downtown" in the center of our city a reality.

So how many homes are you planning to destroy and have you talked to the owners?

We live close to the planned expansion and I know I am not moving and it would take a lot of money and the right new house to get me to move.

No one's home is being taken or destroyed. The city will not force any property owner from their homes or to sell their property if they don't want to. This has been stated over and over from the beginning. One of the great things about the United States is that property owners' rights reign supreme.

Regarding talking to owners close to the Four Corners (I am one as well, by the way), this process has been open from the beginning, with multiple opportunities for anyone and everyone to provide input.

This redevelopment is something the vast majority of FB citizens want to see happen. It will. But it won't be because the city "destroys" anyones homes.
