Judge Dismisses Monetary Damages Claim

You are all well aware that the City of Farmers Branch has been invovled in several lawsuits relating to the passage of Ordinance 2903. There are multiple plantiffs, including the owners of the Villas at Parkside apartments. This plantiff was seeking monetary damages, claiming that the talk of the ordinance was driving potential residents away and hurting the business. During last May's election, the opposition to Ordinance 2903 (and the lawyers at Bickel and Brewer) boasted long and loud that this ordinace would cost the city millions of dollars in legal fees and damages. Well, yesterday, Judge Lindsay ruled that the plantiffs are not entitled to receive any monetary damages. This is great news.

I would like to know if the "Villas at Parkside Apartments" are owned by an American? Many apartments owners are foreigners, and are given permits in our cities to conduct these kind of business, businesses that caters to illegals... like they say, there's money to be made from them.

These is good news!

I want eveyone to know, that with out a doubt apartments owners has lower wages... before the invasion a cleaning lady would be paid $80.00 dollars to clean a small apartment more for larger ones, now a cleaning lady is paid $35.00 no matter what size the apartment is nor it's condition. Also, they now leave out window screen unless you ask them to place them. And when you ask them to spray your apartment they recommend you buy some spray yourself, I mean they really believe they can take advantage of anyone and everyone... everyone is a moran if you don't know you can contact and report code voliations to your City code voliations enforcement. And as for the cleaning lady being paid $35.00 per apartment, can you image how much less a prainter, carperter, maintenance and office staff too making less???

It is very apparent that many of your commenters and you who use terms like "invasion" or "before the invasion" are racists.

It is sad that forty years after the Civil Rights movement we still have so much blatant racism persisting right here in Dallas.

Well, I guess we should know how blatant this is, even now. Especially since the heinous event of Jasper occurred in our very own state.

Dee,

With all due respect, since when is an "illegal alien" a race? This whole issue has nothing to do with race, it has to do with people that freeload the benefits that have been given to all people (regardless of race) that have worked hard to earn the rights of citizenship. How dare you or anyone else make comparisons to the civil rights movement.

Did you know that over 48,000 Americans have been MURDERED by illegal aliens since 9/11/01?
It is well time to end this invasion!

Dee, I love the way the illegal-alien supporters start waving the race card. This is not about race, this is about enormous floods of people raging into this country uncontrolled and continuing to live by their rules of their culture. When one has lived in the middle of nowhere, in a cardboard leanto, with no codes or socialization, no laws except his/her own, that person creates chaos. Multiply that. There is neighborhood destruction and community destruction in the wake. A huge number of illegals, due to ignorance or negligence or aggressiveness or some such, are responsible for many deaths of our citizens. They overpopulate homes, neighborhoods, schools, hospitals. Our country cannot keep up with the rapid growth of having the equivalent of an entire other country take up spontaneous residence here. We can't build schools fast enough. There are not enough old homes for them to move into (I say this because they can't afford a new one if they are from poverty). It is NOT ABOUT RACE!!!!!

I am an American of H-I-S-P-A-N-I-C heritage.

I don’t live in Farmers Branch, but I have lived in different apartments for years now. So I would say this subject makes me an expert.

Apartment property managements that are contracted by apartment owners did suppress American wages. In fact, before 2000 you could find nothing but blue eyes with blond hair apartment managers, assistances, even maintenance. Now, you see nothing but spanish speaking (being their primary language) dark hair/eyes apartment personnel.

I remember an apartment complex I lived two years ago, they had a maintenance revolving door, new one day, gone the next and all of them were spanish speaking only. Eventually, I found out the reason, it was the job duties description. Their employer (apartment complex) gave them a daily deadline assignment that must be completed or else, that meant working all night long, whatever it took, without overtime paid.

Last year the new apartment complex I moved into, there they had the maintenances repair the damage parking lot (cemented), no extra paid, no nothing, and yes spanish speaking only.

Wherever there’s an apartment, you will notice that where it’s visible from the public street it will always be trimmed/cleaned, especially (more so) to the entrance leading to the leasing office, but that’s as far as they will go. Look at the apartment guide directories, both description and photos...they're laughable!

Besides them benefiting from lower wages they also benefit from the majority of their tenants too, by ignoring repairs, all you have to do is just look.

On All Sundays classified wanted ads under apartment you will see job openings for all positions. So for that... Do you suppose after they hoped no one would answer they waiting no time to go running to the President of United States of America and said... “Boo-hoo poor me, I can’t find anyone to work for me, oh boo-hoo, please give me permission to find desperate help outside the country to fill jobs Americans won’t do, oh boo-hoo poor me???

As for the cleaning lady flat rate $35.00 per apartment, some apartment complex do pay an extra $5.00 dollar when in bad condition. But, they also deduct from the $35.00 if little cleaning is needed.

There’s more horrible stories out there. Please be my guest and pass this info to the Judge.
