Newspaper Circulation Fading

I've expressed my opinion about the Dallas Morning News on this blog previously, and wanted to share this link I came across today about the shrinking circulation of the Nation's newspapers. Almost all of the top twenty-five newspapers in the country are bleeding circulation, and only the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the San Diego Union-Tribune had a bigger plunge in weekly circulation in 2007 than the DMN, which was down 7.68%, from 404,652 to 373,586.

Thank you for posting this. I wasn't sure people in Farmers Branch knew how to read since they have so much time to look at all of the 'purty pictures' on the walls of your local library. As for the Dallas News, if you believe what you are actually saying why is Farmers Branch advertising in the Dallas News? You are feeding the beast you hate, but people in Farmers Branch are fearcul and hateful of many 'beasts' I guess. I agree that you have to do something to make Farmers Branch look like a legitimate place that someone would actually want to visit or *gasp* live. I would go ahead and withdraw your ads from the Dallas News on principle and recognition that your city is the biggest joke and no ad campaign can overcome that. You can use the savings to build fences around your paranoid little city.

The first comment was typical of an emotional basket case. The people of FB have spoken and it has had an enormous effect on the upgrade in living in this great town. Keep up the good work Scott. The DMNews is dying, how sweet it is.

We know how to read, speak English and obey the laws of our nation. Farmers Branch is a great place to live. I guess perhaps you are 'paranoid' about a city that has residents, a City Council, and just general attitude that wants to uphold the laws of the nation.

As far as the Dallas Morning News, who cares? The only thing it is good for is to start the coals burning for my grill!
